Acceptable use policy
This policy sets out what this website may be used for and the standards that anything you send us — a review, a message, an enquiry — has to meet. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether or not they buy anything, and sits alongside the terms and conditions.

1. What is sold here
Ishtar Stones sells consumer jewellery: birthstone and coloured gemstone pieces in sterling silver and 9 carat gold, and a cleaning set. Every item is a physical object shipped to a delivery address. Nothing sold on this site is a service, a subscription, a membership, a digital good, a financial product or an investment. There is no recurring charge of any kind on this site.
We do not sell, and this site may not be used to obtain: goods requiring a CITES permit; elephant ivory, which is prohibited by the Ivory Act 2018; any item requiring an age restriction; any regulated or controlled product; anything counterfeit; or anything bearing a trade mark or design we are not entitled to use.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use this website:
- in any way that breaks any applicable law or regulation, in the UK or in your own country;
- to place an order for onward sale in the course of a business without telling us first;
- to attempt fraud, including using a payment method you are not authorised to use;
- to obtain goods for shipment to a country, entity or person subject to trade sanctions or export control;
- to send, knowingly receive, upload or download anything that does not comply with the content standards below;
- to transmit unsolicited advertising, chain letters or any similar solicitation;
- to introduce malicious code of any kind, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site, its server, or any database or system connected to it;
- to attack this site through a denial-of-service attack;
- to scrape, harvest, mirror or systematically extract the catalogue, the declarations or the photographs, whether by automated means or otherwise;
- to reproduce our gem declarations or product descriptions elsewhere as though they were your own.
3. Content standards
These standards apply to anything you send us — reviews, messages, enquiries — and to any part of it. Contributions must be accurate where they state facts, genuinely held where they state opinions, and must comply with the law of England and Wales.
A contribution must not:
- be defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
- promote discrimination on any ground protected by the Equality Act 2010;
- infringe anyone’s copyright, database right or trade mark;
- be likely to deceive anyone, or breach a legal duty owed to a third party;
- promote or assist any unlawful act;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity or your connection with any person;
- give the impression that it comes from us when it does not.
Reviews carry one further rule
A published review is advertising under the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising, and it is regulated as such. So a review submitted to this site must not attribute any effect to a stone — on health, mood, sleep, calm, fortune, wealth, protection, relationships or wellbeing — whether stated directly or in hedged form.
This is not a matter of taste. It is the same rule we hold ourselves to, and we apply it identically to reviews. Submissions are screened automatically and held for a person to review. Where a review is otherwise useful we may ask you to reword the passage; where we cannot publish it, we will tell you and say why. We do not edit a review to change its rating or its substance, and we do not decline reviews for being critical — only for breaching this policy.
We do not publish incentivised reviews, we do not write reviews ourselves, and we do not remove genuine negative reviews. Every published review comes from a verified order.
4. Our intellectual property
The photographs, text, declarations, layout and code on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and database right. You may view pages, and print or download extracts, for your own personal use. You must not use any part commercially without a licence from us. Nothing on this site uses another brand’s marks, and no design here imitates a protected design belonging to anyone else.
5. What happens if this policy is broken
We decide whether this policy has been broken. Depending on what has happened we may withdraw your right to use the site, remove a contribution, cancel an order and refund it, issue a warning, take legal proceedings and recover our costs, or disclose information to law enforcement where we are required or entitled to. We are not liable for action taken in response to a breach.
6. Reporting something
If you see content on this site that breaches these standards, or you believe something here infringes your rights, write to support@ishtarjewellery.shop with enough detail for us to find it. We acknowledge within two working days and act promptly where the report is made out.
7. Changes
We may revise this policy. The version in force is the one published here on the date shown above. Please check it from time to time.
